Limited Space

Space is limited. You hear it when you are invited to an event or a gathering and need to rsvp. A venue can only contain so many people. You think about it when you are packing for a trip. Your suitcase can only hold so much stuff and your vehicle can only contain so much. Even our days are limited. There are only so many minutes in a day and you can only do what you have time to do.

Don’t you love the word ‘unlimited’?!! It’s a rare thing to hear something described as unlimited. Restaurants entice us with unlimited drinks or unlimited salad bar. You pay one price and eat or drink as much as you’d like. But, even those are limited by the amount of space our bodies can absorb.

You know where you will never hear the words ‘space is limited’… Heaven! I love the mission statement for Red Rocks Church in Colorado: Make heaven crowded. No limits! There are no confines to eternity with God except one: you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Romans 10:9 (NLT) tells us, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

You and I get to participate in that mission of making heaven crowded. Who can we tell about Jesus today? Let’s be mission-minded and make heaven crowded!
